A bit about me

I am 54 years old and was born in India where I lived till I was 12, when the family moved to Melbourne. I completed high school and an arts degree before doing nursing at a big city hospital. I married at 21 and moved to country Victoria for ten years with my husband Alistair. We have four children, aged 26 to 19 (three of whom have now left home - at least for the moment) and have lived in Brunswick, an inner suburb of Melbourne, for the past 17years.
I retrained in my mid thirties and have worked as a writer and editor for the past 12 years. My current day job involves administration and events management. I have had more than 100 reflective pieces published in The Melbourne Age over the past 12 years and collections of these have been made into two books, Three Gates to Paradise (2006) and The Whole Shebang (2008), both published by Clouds of Magellan.
I am an active member of my local Uniting Church, am committed to contemplative prayer and for recreation I walk for miles, read fiction and share meals with family and friends.
